At Syft we develop customer-focused SIFT-MS based applications. That means we deliver our Voice instruments either with a "shrink-wrapped" application for some target markets (e.g., Container Air Analysis) or tailored to meet the needs of a specific industry or customer.
To ensure our instruments ship ready to fit into real-world environments, we have our own commercial laboratory, which develops turnkey methods and rigorously tests our hardware, software and science. Our lab also offers SIFT-MS analytical services, so we can investigate a new application for a customer, or we can analyse VOC samples at a very competitive rate for our NZ-based customers.
A number of clients from government agencies and private businesses use fumigant analysis services that mimic those provided by Syft Voice-Series instruments at shipping facilities around the globe.
Exploration and drilling companies use our GeoVOC service to detect and quantify hydrocarbons in surface geochemistry surveys and when drilling oil and gas wells. Onshore and offshore soil and water samples are all readily analyzed for these compounds.
Multinational environmental engineering consultancies, local government laboratories and private consultants use our environmental services. Detection and quantitation of odor compounds, such as the reduced sulfurs and amines, are a particular strength of the SIFT-MS technology, as is the ability to provide economical short-run analyses. Landfill gas analysis (speciation and total non-methane organic compounds) and odor source profiling are key services.
OSH professionals (both private consultants and from governmental agencies) use our services to test for hazardous volatile organic compounds as part of routine monitoring programs and incident detection.
We provide carbon dioxide testing for a major carbon dioxide producer, and undertake a diverse range of customized analysis for aroma compounds.
Due to the ease with which we undertake short-run work, we do a wide variety of customized analysis for many different types of client. Some of this can develop into longer term projects, such as helping a local company’s R&D program that sought to mitigate product damage from VOCs evolved by components exposed to high temperatures.
