Enhanced Environmental Monitoring 2: Laboratory Applications

This webcast is the second in a three-part series on enhanced environmental monitoring using SIFT-MS, a leading direct mass spectrometry (DMS) technique.

DMS eliminates chromatography and therefore accelerates sample throughput, compared to conventional methods used for VOC analysis. SIFT-MS uniquely provides rapid switching of chemical ionization agents, which maximizes selectivity and breadth of analysis.

This event focuses on the benefits realized by adopting automated DMS in environmental testing laboratories, which include reduced sample preparation and increased sample throughput.

Five case studies are presented:

  • Soil analysis
  • Water headspace analysis
  • Formaldehyde analysis using sample bags
  • Canister analysis
  • Landfill and biogas analysis
