Syft’s new auto-validation inlet (AVI) allows truly automated, 24/7 operation of the Voice200ultra Selected Ion Flow Tube Mass Spectrometry (SIFT-MS) instrument.
The AVI enables the Voice200ultra to automatically switch between sample, background, and Syft Calibrant gas streams, without operator input. It integrates seamlessly with the LabSyft software, to facilitate continuous batch monitoring. The AVI-enhanced Voice200ultrainstrument can now automate background subtractions and scheduled instrument validations as part of a continuous, 24/7 monitoring regime.
In the video below, a use scenario is illustrated. First, a Syft Standard validation is run, in which the instrument self-checks against an independently certified, multicomponent gas standard. Instrument validations can be scheduled at a frequency and time of day suitable to the application. Second, the Voice200ultra analyzes both the background and sample gas streams in a single method, and subtracts the background measurements from the sample.
The AVI has been designed to utilize the incredible speed of SIFT-MS analysis in 24/7 unattended applications such as industrial process monitoring, ambient monitoring, continuous emissions monitoring (both at the stack and at the fence line), and cleanroom air quality analysis.
The auto-validation inlet is available as an inlet option with all new Voice200ultra purchases. Voice200ultra instruments already in the field can also be upgraded.
