Syft has arrived in the USA, and we are here to stay! Although we already had a strong distributor and customer base, we’ve now committed ourselves fully to the USA. This is an exciting time for us, as we get to be closer to our customers than ever before, which gives us the ability to strengthen relationships. We are also ready to target new customers, as we are confident that our revolutionary SIFT-MS technology truly challenges our competitors!
We’d like to welcome Damien Fischer, joining us as Vice President of Sales – US & Reid Poole joining us as Vice President of Sales – Semiconductor’s. They are both based in California. They will be taking the lead in strengthening and developing our US and Global activities!
Damien spent fifteen years with Agilent, prior to Syft. He started his career there as an FSE supporting primarily HPLC and LCMS in Southern California. The Service organization realized he could do less damage if he was selling instruments, rather than servicing them, so they convinced the Sales organization to give him a shot as an Account Manager. Since then, Damien honed his sales skills as a Mass Spec Product Specialist, followed by a role in Business Development for Clinical Diagnostics. Six years, he was given the opportunity to help form the Clinical Diagnostics Sales team in Northern America as a District Sales Manager.
Damien brings a wealth of knowledge with him and is excited to dive into Syft’s technology and culture!
Reid has almost three decades of experience in sales and marketing within the Semiconductor industry. He has held leadership positions at Brooks Automation, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and CKD. Reid comes to Syft from Picarro, where he was Vice President, Sales and Marketing – Semiconductor. Reid’s experience in developing and managing hybrid sales teams around the globe, with extensive experience operating in Asia, will take a major lead in further developing our business in the region. He is a customer-focused and data-driven sales professional with a penchant for assuring a high level of customer satisfaction through developing strong customer relationships.
The culture at Syft was a major factor in getting him across the line to join Syft! In his words: he’s “all in” and committed to building Syft into a billion-dollar business!
Here at Syft, we are very excited to have these all-stars on our team and in front of our customers. In the last few years, the Syft name has become increasingly well known in the industries to which we’re selling. Being able to continue successfully growing the business will see us hiring more people with Reid and Damien’s talent and experience!
