Direct mass spectrometry (DMS) eliminates chromatography and therefore accelerates sample throughput compared to conventional methods used for volatile organic compound (VOC) analysis. Selected ion flow tube mass spectrometry (SIFT-MS) is a leading DMS technique, providing rapid switching of chemical ionization agents to maximize selectivity and breadth of analysis.
